Glen Eira City Choir

Enjoy singing?  Join us in singing a range of music including classical oratorios, opera choruses, and lighter music from musicals.

Our choir strives for excellence and engages professional soloists for major choral works. Recent concerts have included Karl Jenkins Requiem, with the Bendigo Chorale (Brighton and Bendigo), Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols, Music from the British Isles and Celebrating Christmas with Music from America. In 2026, our 80th year, we will perform Mozart: Requiem,  Sancta Maria and Laudate Dominum with the Bendigo Chorale (Brighton and Bendigo), in May and our Christmas Concert in Brighton in December.  Read more about our concerts here.

We welcome newcomers, especially those who enjoy learning and performing choral music. Our SATB choir comprises 40 male and female voices. No audition is necessary but it is an advantage to be able to read music. We sing in 4 parts (and for some music in 8 parts) so it is also an advantage to be able to hold your own part. 

We rehearse in Brighton but have people come from Balwyn to Bayside to sing with us. We encourage you to come along for a rehearsal and try us out.
