Do you enjoy singing? Newcomers welcome.

The Glen Eira City Choir is a mixed non-profit choir  with approximately 70 choristers who enjoy a social get together and the opportunity to sing a varied and wide ranging repertoire of music under the guidance and direction of its conductor, the highly acclaimed Jane Elton Brown, OAM.

In 2016 the choir celebrated its 70th year of choral singing, with two concerts, the second including Vivaldi’s Gloria and excerpts from The Messiah by Handel.
In 2017 the Choir presented three concerts, including a performance of The Creation by Haydn.

In 2018 three concerts are again planned. Rehearsals commence on 1 February for the first concert on April 8 at Glen Eira Town Hall. The concert is titled “By George”, including music by Handel, Bizet, Gershwin, Dreyfus and Harrison.

Our repertoire is varied and ranges from classical to light music.Variety is the key. Why not come along and try us out? No audition is necessary but it does help to be able to read music.

We always look forward to hearing from new choristers who would like to come along to sing with us. We rehearse most Monday nights at the Indonesian Uniting Church Hall, 158 Balaclava Road, Caulfield.
